Meet Our Dental Team

Cathy

Cathy is a 1984 graduate of the Dental Hygiene program at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She has been a member of our team since 1996! Cathy is certified in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. She enjoys her work environment along with the long-lasting relationships she has formed with her patients. When not at work, Cathy and her husband Gary enjoy kayaking, boating (with a motor), doing things outdoors, and spending time with family. She also loves crepes & taking their dog Frank for walks – he even wears sunglasses!

Beth

Beth has been part of our team as a dental hygienist since 2002 after graduating from the Dental Hygiene program at KVCC. She is certified in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. She has enjoyed getting to know her patients over the years and helping them achieve a beautiful smile. Beth and her husband Jon have three children. Their oldest son is in the Air Force, and they love to visit with him and their four grandchildren any chance they get! In her free time, she loves to travel, play soccer, tennis, and snowboard. You won’t ever find Beth inside on her days off!

Rylee

Rylee officially joined our team in July of 2021 after graduating from Kalamazoo Valley Community College with her degree in Dental Hygiene, but has been a patient in our office since she was just three years old! She is certified in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. Rylee is very passionate about teaching preventative dental care to her patients. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and animals. Rylee has chickens, rabbits, a boxer named Maggie and a cat Monroe. Begging her boyfriend Jack for more animals is one of her favorite pastimes!

Corie

Corie has been a part of our team since 2018, but has been a patient at the office since 1993! She wanted to pursue a career in the dental field, so she started working in our office a few days a week back in 2008 for a year or so. Along with continued time spent in general dentistry, she also brings six years of orthodontic experience to our office. In her spare time, Corie and her husband Jake enjoy traveling, doing anything outside, and spending time with family, friends, and their dog Tilly. They have an ORV that they love to ride up north any chance they get. Watch out, this girl is fearless!

Heather

Heather joined the Schimp Family Dentistry team in January 2023, after 5 years in orthodontics and with an expertise in smiling!! She quickly made herself at home here (on the other side of the front desk) after sending her own children to the office for a number of years already. Heather's all-time favorite people are her husband Terry and their two boys T3 and Tanner. Lacey, one of our assistants, is also her sister-in-law!! As their kids grow into adults, she is learning to enjoy every moment and count every blessing! Her dogs, Wilson & Phyllis, lots of caffeine, and an abundance of sunshine are her remedies for just about everything! 

Ashley

Ashley joined our team in February of 2023. She graduated from Olympia Career Training Institute in 2007, and comes to us with 16 years of assisting experience in general dentistry, endodontics, and periodontics. She enjoys building relationships with her patients, and strives to help them conquer their fear of the dental chair. Ashely is married to her husband Joshua and they have a daughter, Evelyn. Outside the office, Ashely enjoys watching/coaching her daughter in basketball and softball, camping, bonfires with friends, family trips, reading and bible studies. She loves to laugh, and dreams of one day going on mission trips! But long walks through plant shops for this plant lady are her pride and joy!
